CURRENT PROJECT:  La Cueva Curve Water Intake Modeling

Full modeling report  in [pdf] (unavailable)

Purpose

The La Cueva arroyo discharges into the North Diversion Channel south of Balloon Fiesta Park. A series of debris filters will be added to the concrete lined trapezoidal channel at the curve directly before the discharge point. The Hydraulics lab will study options for the intake structures for the 4 pipes that will divert 1,700 cfs of the 4,800 cfs 100-year storm into the debris filters.
