Best Practices for Using

Traditional Audio-Visual Equipment in Classrooms

Overhead projectors:

·        Are permanently assigned to most classrooms on the UNM-LA campus.  If you need one and do not find one in your classroom, please inform the ITC staff.

·        Have two bulbs in most cases.  Please inform the ITC staff if a bulb burns out when you are using it so the bulb can be replaced for the next user.

·        Should be left on the assigned tables or carts. Please do not place projectors on the floor.

·        Should be unplugged and the cords wound around the base and placed out of the way, away from chalkboards at the end of the class period.

TV/VCR setups:

·        Are only available in the following classrooms:  313, 630, 631, 632, B20

·        Please obtain cart combinations from the ITC.

·        Please turn off all equipment and secure the lock when you are finished using it.

·        Please unplug and wind the cord around the cord holder on the cart, and place out of the way, away from chalkboards.
