Brief Description of Process

-Initially downloaded data from FTP c/cegis

-change layer name to New Mexico Pan Evaporation

-explored symbol choices and color pallets chose circle with black dot and colored light blue

-created a graph by selecting max and min values and selecting option that forces graph of only selected items.

-labeled x and y axis, to show station names at the bottom I went to labels and selected station name for labels and labeled the bottom of the graph and the stations on the map.

-to add graph to figure right click graph and select add to layout.

Difficulties

It was tricky to get the labeling on the graph to be what I was looking for. After exploring the formatting options in the graph dialogue box, I discovered that much of what can be displayed on the graph is controlled in the layer properties dialogue box.
