I. General Statement of Duties:
To perform a wide variety of clerical duties in support of
an assigned function. II. Typical Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Coordinate fund-raising activities for the Keep Albuquerque Beautiful program. 2. Initiate recruitment of volunteers, monetary and in-kind support for the program. 3. Coordinate special events involving community and business partners. 4. Arrange and conduct educational tours of the Cerro Colorado Landfill and Recycling Center to community organizations and school groups. 5. Presentation of educational informational speeches to schools, various community, governmental and environmental groups regarding residential, commercial and governmental recycling strategies. 6. Run errands. 7. Assist with special events: Waste-in-place Teacher Seminar, Great American Cleanup, Recycling Awareness Programs, Litter free events and other special events. 8. Other duties as assigned. III. Education and Experience Must be a full time student and must provide copy of schedule. Must be between the ages of 16 - 25. Must have a valid driver's license. IV. Working Conditions Must be able to lift 30 pounds. Light labor is required. IV. Requirements This position requires a minimum of 20 hours per week. As a KAB Intern, you will be required to work some weekends and evenings. | ||

V. Knowledge and Abilities:
Basic mathematical principles. Customer relations techniques. Operations, services and activities of a customer service program. Modern office practices, procedures and equipment including a computer. Alphabetical and numerical filing systems. VI. Skill and Ability to: Deal tactfully and courteously with the public in handling complaints. Operate a variety of office equipment including a typewriter, calculator and a computer. Perform varied clerical work. Understand and follow oral and written instructions. Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work. | ||
