Description: Summary: Prepares and serves food at scheduled functions under the supervision of the catering captain. May drive a catering delivery truck. Delivers food and beverage to catered functions. Sets up functions, serves at functions, breaks down the set-up, leaves the area neat and clean, returns tables to their proper position, returns left over food and equipment to the catering facility in a timely manner.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

*Assembles and delivers all food and supplies for catered functions to their scheduled locations.

*Logs and maintains food temperatures.

*Arranges tables and decorations.

*Prepares hors d’oeuvres, fancy and plain sandwiches, deli plates/platters, and salads.

*Arrange buffet tables with food, beverage and service items according to established standards.

*Serve food and beverages to guests.

*Returns food and beverages, serving equipment and utensils to the catering facility.

*Distributes and collects customer comment cards for catered functions.

*Stocks, cleans and maintains the catering facility and equipment.

*Maintain clean and safe work environment; performs job safely.

*Other duties may be assigned.

Education and Experience:
Prefer prior experience in food service and catering services.

Language Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide the 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
