| Description: | CureSearch is seeking interns who desire experience in event planning, program coordinating, and nonprofit fundraising. The Southwest region staff is constantly on the move planning events including The CureSearch Walk, Awareness Events and Family Outreach events. Interns will have the opportunity to learn about event planning, fundraising, budgets, social media marketing, communications, and sponsorships. Albuquerque CureSearch Walk: Assist Regional Development Director with planning and coordination of this walk on Oct 15th. Work on advertising the walk in Albuquerque (i.e. posting on community calendars, idealist, etc) Contact prospective donors and walk participants Compose databases of contacts for walk/hike Prepare and distribute Walk newsletters Update our social media pages when necessary Attend planning committee meetings | ||
| Qualifications: | Good organization and time management skills, ability to work independently, strong written and verbal communications, and experience using spreadsheets and internet searches. | ||
