| Description: | TOP is a new elective at Van Buren Middle School looking for a volunteer to teach three to five 90 minutes lessons a week from October 19th until December 18th. Must be available during one of the following: 9:45-11:45 OR 1:15-3:15. Duties include: Facilitation of set curriculum to 15-20 middle school students every other day, recruitment and retention of students, record keeping, monthly reporting, regular lesson planning, and attending bi-monthly Saturday field trips. | Qualifications: | Ideal candidate will: Have expereice working with students in an acedemic setting or be working towrads a degree in education, be able to work in a classroom setting, be punctual, have time management skills, have computer and internet skills, be able to work efficiently without direct supervision, make one year commitment, and be excited to work with students aged 11-14. | ||
