| Description: | Want to give back to your community and be part of the up and coming artistic community here in Albuquerque? Working Classroom provides professional development opportunities for talented young artists and actors from historically ignored communities. Students then collaborate to create artwork and performances surrounding social justice, on a local and global level. We are seeking volunteer tutors to help with the academic component of our program. Volunteers will be helping middle school and high school students with homework, providing project and research assitance, and other forms of academic support. Positions will begin in August, with the Abq school year. | ||
| Qualifications: | (Preferred) Familiarity with or background in the arts Bilingual, English and Spanish Ability to tutor in a variety of subjects, up to HS or College level Desire to work with young, emerging artists and actors | ||
