| Description: | Join the YMCA team at Grant Middle School or Wilson Middle School and provide quality afterschool programming for middle school students. Duties include but are not limited to: Having as much fun as possible, every day. Mentoring Positive Youth Development Lesson Planning Group Management Tutoring Data Entry Our program runs Monday-Friday from 2:45-6:45pm. We are using a MicroSociety model: "The MicroSociety® Middle School Academy Since 1991, MICROSOCIETY has provided exciting opportunities for middle grade students to prepare for the professions in a wide range of communities across the country. | Qualifications: | High School Diploma/GED Over the age of 18 Ability to pass a drug test and background check Patience 3+ months of experience working with teenagers, preferably middle school ages (6th-8th grade) Preferred Qualifications: 1+ year of experience working with middle school students First Aid/CPR certification 45hr childcare certification Interest in teaching or public service | ||
