In the Pope and the Witch, Dario Fo takes the Pope on a journey of awareness
from smug comfortable isolation, through crippling paranoia, to acceptance
of his true potential and responsibility to the world community.
The scenic metaphor reveals the world of the Vatican as a façade and
theatrical sham propping up a little megalomaniac man.
