Asian Studies Reception

A presentation on Japanese anime will be held on Friday, April 20, at 12 noon, in Woodward 147. This presentation will be in place of the Hist 352 class meeting on that day. Hist 352 students should go directly to Ortega 153

CENTER>Asian Studies Scholarship

The Asian Studies Committee announces its annual scholarship competition. The scholarship in the amount of $1000 is intended to assist students to enrich their program of studies through such means as participation in summer language programs, research, and other kinds of Asia-related programs. Although preference is normally given to Asian Studies majors and minors, all students interested in some aspect of Asian studies are invited to apply.

Applications must include a description of your interest in Asian studies, the intended use to which the scholarship will be put, an unofficial transcript of university work, and a letter or recommendation from a faculty member who offers course work in Asian studies.
