Plein Air Works done from 2004 through 2006 (below the photo of me)

Plein Air is a popular trend in art lately and is best described as smaller paintings done entirely outdoors. The artist transports their art supplies and he/she then tries to capture the scene quickly before the light conditions change.  The photo below is of me sitting in the Valles Caldera Preserve doing a pastel in September 2004 (see the "Cerro La Jara in Valles Caldera" Pastel image below.)
