MANA de Alburquerque Banquet & Scholarship Ceremony MANA de Alburquerque will hold it's 1998 Brindis a la Mujer Hispana Awards Banquet and Scholarship Ceremony on Friday, September 11, 1998, at the Sheraton Uptown Hotel in Alburquerque. The event honors outstanding Hispana woman, and also celebrates New Mexico hispanas who will receive MANA educational scholarships. This year's Brindis is headlined, "MANA, The Media, and The Hispana Community". It will feature a panel of Hispanas in media including the editor of La Herencia del Norte, a woman from Univision, and a longtime news reporter/producer from New Mexico's KUNM Public Radio. The event begins at 6:30 p.m. with a silent auction and cocktails. Dinner at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $25 for MANA members, $35 otherwise. Money raised goes to the MANA de Alburquerque Scholarship program. For more information, call (505) 836-4915.
