They Just Don't Get

THEY JUST DON'T GET IT
We haved been here for centuries,
We, of Spanish and Indian ancestry,
and we constitute the majority here
in our ancient ancestral homelands
where we live and raise our children.
The interlopers criticize our leaders and us,
though they know nothing about us;
They want to dominate our institutions
and exclude us from important positions
of the institution of our own ancient lands.
We are being recolonized as in 1846,
by the same people who invades us then,
who denominated us as "spics and greasers,"
who posted "no mexicans or dogs allowed"
all over our own ancestral homelands.
They do not understand nor do they care
that we have the right to be represented
in the numbers of peoples that we are
at every level, position and institution
of our ancestral homelands of Aztlán.
