The Author

    Linnea Hendrickson has been a reference librarian and a
college instructor in English, social sciences, and humanities.
She is coauthor, with Beverly Renford, of Bibliographic
Instruction:  A Handbook, and has presented papers on children's
literature at professional conferences.  She holds a degree in
history from the University of Michigan and masters degrees in
teaching, English, and library science from the University of
Massachusetts and the University of Arizona.  She currently
resides in Albuquerque, New Mexico, with her husband, Ed Philips,
and their children, Jesse and Psyche.
