19th Century Masterfile (NCM) - Provides a databank of citations, based on the scholarly subject indices of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Regularly updated, it currently contains more than 8 million citations to periodicals, books, newspapers, and government documents. Formerly called Poole's Plus.
Academic Search Complete - Academic Search Complete, designed specifically for academic institutions, is the one of world's most valuable and comprehensive scholarly, multi-disciplinary full-text database, with more than 5,300 full-text periodicals, including 4,400 peer-reviewed journals. In addition to full text, this database offers indexing and abstracts for more than 9,300 journals and a total of 10,900 publications including monographs, reports, conference proceedings, etc. The database features PDF content going back as far as 1865, with the majority of full text titles in native (searchable) PDF format. African American Newspapers, 1827-1998 - Provides online access to approximately 270 U.S. newspapers from more than 35 states, chronicling a century and a half of the African American experience. Art Index Retrospective (4 concurrent users only) - A bibliographic database that cumulates citations to Art Index volumes 1-32 of the printed index published between 1929-1984. The database cites articles from periodicals published throughout the world. Periodical coverage includes English-language periodicals, yearbooks, and museum bulletins, as well as periodicals published in French, Italian, German, Spanish, and Dutch. Atlas of North American English, The - The Atlas of North American English provides the first overall view of the pronunciation and vowel systems of the dialects of the U.S. and Canada. The Atlas redefines the regional dialects of American English on the basis of sound changes active in the 1990s and draws new boundaries reflecting those changes. It is based on a telephone survey of 762 local speakers, representing all the urbanized areas of North America. It has been developed by Bill Labov, one of the world’s leading sociolinguists, together with his colleagues Sharon Ash and Charles Boberg.

Biography and Genealogy Master Index (2 concurrent users only.) - A great place to begin a search for information about people. It indexes current, readily available reference sources, as well as the most important retrospective works that cover individuals, both living and deceased, from every field of activity and from all areas of the world. Offered through the Gale Group.
Biography Reference Bank (4 concurrent users only.) - Provides a heavily illustrated database with biographical subjects ranging from antiquity to the present and representing all fields and nationalities. The biographies are searchable by name, profession, title, place of origin, gender, race/ethnicity, titles of works, date of birth, date of death, keyword, and presence of images. The database is updated four times per week. Many of the biographies are full text. It is a fine complement to Biography and Genealogy Master Index which is more comprehensive, but no full text. BioOne - BioOne provides integrated access to the full-text of recent years of interrelated journals focused on the biological, ecological and environmental sciences.
Birds of North America - The Birds of North America is an online resource of detailed biosystematic, ecological, population, and distribution information on all 716 species of birds that nest in the United States and Canada. The online version includes photo galleries and sound recordings of most species. The species accounts are updated periodically.
Black Studies Center - Supports research, teaching, and learning in Black Studies and other disciplines that benefit from a more detailed coverage of the black experience such as history, literature, political science, sociology, philosophy, and religion. It is a digital core collection of primary and secondary sources that record and illuminate the Black experience, from ancient Africa through modern times. It includes studies, newspapers, periodicals, images and video clips. The International Index of Black Periodicals is included with the full-text articles from many of the periodicals. British House of Commons Parliamentary Papers - Includes the bills, reports, papers and documents that were the working documents of government from the British House of Commons from the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries. They include all areas of social, political, economic, cultural and foreign policy for three centuries. Offered through Proquest/Chadwyck-Healey.
British Periodicals - British Periodicals Collection I consists of more than 160 journals published from the 17th century to the early 20th century.
Business Monitor International - Please note use of this package is for Personal Research Purposes ONLY. Business Monitor's online services provide daily macroeconomic, financial and company news and analysis on emerging and key global markets. It covers 175 countries and also includes quarterly forecasts and surveys in eleven key industry sectors for each country. Center for Research Libraries - The Center for Research Libraries (CRL)provides access through traditional and electronic means to unique and unusual collections of library materials that are in all appropriate formats, international in scope, and comprehensive in disciplines. The CRL catalog lists materials that may be requested on Interlibrary Loan. CRL also has specialized digital collections in areas such as historical pamphlet collection from China and France; Brazilian government documents; and reference materials related to South Asia.

CINAHL Plus with Full Text - CINAHL Plus with Full Text is the world's most comprehensive source of full text for nursing & allied health journals, providing full text for more than 560 journals indexed in CINAHL. This authoritative file contains full text for many of the most used journals in the CINAHL index - with no embargo. Cinema Image Gallery (4 concurrent users) Cinema Image Gallery presents the history of movie-making through approximately 200,000 high-quality images. It covers films in production: directors working on-set with the stars, set, costume and production design as well as hair and make-up shots and rare behind-the scenes material. It also offers an extensive TV stills archive featuring classic and modern TV: comedies, dramas, series, TV movies, game shows and thousands of pictures of the stars of this medium. CogNet - Cognet library is a growing collection of searchable electronic texts for cognitive and brain sciences. Current Index to Statistics Extended Database - A bibliographic index to publications in statistics and related fields. References are drawn from 162 core journals (as of 2003) that are fully indexed, non-core journals from which articles are selected that have statistical content, proceedings and edited books, and other sources.

Dictionary of Old English Corpus (DOEC) NOTE: ON CAMPUS USE ONLY - The Dictionary of Old English electronic corpus is a complete record of surviving Old English except for some variant manuscripts of individual texts. There are 3037 texts in the corpus. The texts are ordered by their Cameron numbers, alphanumeric codes that consist of one letter followed by a number or numbers, variously identifying the specific texts.
Digital Dissertations and Theses - Digital Dissertations provides online access to citations and abstracts for every title in the Dissertation Abstracts database. Titles published since 1997 are available in PDF digital format and have 24 page previews available. Recent UNM dissertations that are available in full text in UMI may be viewed.
Digital National Security Archive - Created in collaboration with the National Security Archive, this database is the most comprehensive collection available of significant primary documents central to U.S. foreign and military policy since 1945. This database contains the most important, declassified documents -- totaling more than 400,000 pages -- that have been gathered through extensive use of the U.S. Freedom of Information Act (FOIA): many are published now for the first time.

Early English Books Online - EEBO - from the first book printed in English by William Caxton, through the age of Spenser and Shakespeare and the tumult of the English Civil War, Early English Books Online (EEBO) contains over 125,000 titles listed in Pollard & Redgrave's Short-Title Catalogue (1475 - 1640), Wing's Short-Title Catalogue (1641-1700), and the Thomason Tracts (1640-1661). Among the thousands of titles featured in EEBO are works by Malory, Bacon, More, Erasmus, Boyle, Newton, Galileo; musical exercises by Henry Purcell and novels by Aphra Behn; prayer books, pamphlets, and proclamations; almanacs, calendars, and many other primary sources. ebrary - ebrary Academic Complete is a collection of over 40,000 recently published books in electronic format on a broad range of topics from many top scholarly and trade publishers.
EBSCO Animals - Provides in-depth information on a variety of topics relating to animals. The database consists of indexing, abstracts, and full text records describing the nature and habitat of familiar animals. Funded by the New Mexico State library. Offered through EBSCOhost.
Ecology Abstracts - Ecology Abstracts focuses on how organisms of all kinds - microbes, plants, and animals - interact with their environments and with other organisms. eHRAF Archaeology - eHRAF Archaeology is an online, full-text database with information on prehistory of the world. Encyclopedia of Astronomy and Astrophysics - The EAA explains 30 different subject areas (comprised of 2,493 articles) in all their range and complexity. Each article spans its subject matter at a range of levels, becoming increasingly specialized as the article progresses.
Energy Technology Data Exchange World Energy Base (ETDEWEB) Coordinated by the International Energy Agency, consists of nearly 4 million bibliographic records and over 200,000 full text documents on energy research and technology. (This is an open access database.)

Film & Television literature Index with Full Text - This database is the definitive online tool for film and television research. Subject coverage includes film & television theory, preservation & restoration, writing, production, cinematography, technical aspects, and reviews. The database will provide cover-to-cover indexing and abstracts for more than 300 publications (and selected coverage of 301), as well as full text for more than 90 journals.
Foreign Broadcast Information Service (FBIS) Daily Reports - The Foreign Broadcast Information Service (FBIS) Daily Reports has been the United States' principal record of political and historical open source intelligence for nearly 75 years. The original mission of the FBIS was to monitor, record, transcribe and translate intercepted radio broadcasts from foreign governments, official news services, and clandestine broadcasts from occupied territories. Many of these materials are first-hand reports of events as they occurred. As such, the FBIS Daily Reports constitutes a archive of transcripts of foreign broadcasts and news that provides fascinating insight into the second half of the 20th century. These Reports cover 1974 to 1996 of total years, 1941-1996. Content is gradually being added to cover 1941-1974.
Foundation Directory Online Professional - Foundation Directory Online Professional provides subscribers with access to comprehensive information on grantmakers and their grants. Included is a database of the entire universe of over 98,000 foundations, corporate giving programs, and grantmaking public charities in the U.S.; a database of nearly 3,600 sponsoring companies, offering a quick pathway to corporate funders; a database of over 1.6 million recently awarded grants; and a keyword-searchable database of over 584,000 recently filed IRS Forms 990 and 990-PF.
