Masters of Science in Physical Education: Concentration: General Physical Education

A Master of Science in Physical Education may be completed in general physical education upon the approveal of an advisor. The planned program of studies must be approved by the advisor prior to the completion of 12 credit hours.
With this program, students choose TWO concentration areas in which they complete12 hours of course work in each area. The concentration areas are Curriculum and Instruction (C& I) or Exercise Science or Sport Administration or Adapted Physical Educaton. Thus, AREA I will be ONE concentration area and AREA II is the SECOND conentration area. The student also chooses ONE elective course with this degree tthat needs to be approved by the advisor.
Program of Study (33 Credit Hours): The Committee of studies must include at least one faculty from each of the two selected areas.
PE-P 507 Research Design in HPER 3 hrs
Approved Elective 3 hrs
12 Credit Hours in each of TWO following:
AREA I: C & I, or Exercise Science or Adapted Physical Education or Sport Administration** 12 hrs
AREA II: C& I, or Exercise Science, or Adapted Physical Education or Sport Administration** 12 hrs
Approved Elective 3 hrs
TOTAL HOURS 33 hrs
