Special Interests:
Dr. Kravitz has spent many years in the real world of the health and fitness industry which has helped him to become a successful professor with a balanced approach of theory and applied exercise science in his classes. He wants students to do critical thinking and problem solving as they apply the theories and concepts of exercise science. His testing format has evolved to include formative and summative quizzes, tests and discussions that involve synthesizing and interpreting the subject matter. He regularly encourages and involves graduate and undergraduate students in independent research and writing projects. Dr. Kravitz has an open door policy so students always feel welcome to come and discuss course topics, questions, research and curriculum issues.
