Outline for the Y2k Fix Procedure

Inventory Update

	Let everyone know what we are going to be doing.
	Locate each computer, update information in inventory.
	Check software against inventory.
	Add to inventory:  BIOS versions, Software versions.
	Get rid of error messages.
	Test for Y2k compliance.

Software Update

	Install Y2k fix files.
	Get rid of obsolete versions of software.
	Delete unnecessary files. (list to be posted).
	Upgrade software to Y2k compliant versions, and most recent versions.
	Test all installed software.

Follow-up

	Draw up a monthly maintenance routine for users.  (Post to Web site?)
	Check settings in Command AV, Fortres, Netscape, etc.
	Think of other ways to disseminate info to general users.
