Teach for America coming to UNM

Isaac Cardona, a UNM alumnus and current Houston Teach for America corps member, will be hosting an information session on Monday, Feb. 6, at 3:30 p.m. at the Southwest Film Center in the Student Union Building. He will discuss opportunities available to UNM students and talk about his own experiences as a Teach for America member.

Teach for America will also present a screening of the CNN Documentary that follows four new Teach for America teachers through their experiences at schools in various cities. The documentary explores many of the challenges that school systems face and how young students are affected.

Teach for America is a national organization that recruits recent college graduates of all academic backgrounds to commit two years after graduation to teach in urban and rural public schools. For more information on Teach for America, visit the website at: Teach for America.
