Can’t Make Zozobra? Try UNM’s Red Rally

TONIGHT, Thursday, Sept. 7, at 8 p.m., the ASUNM Lobo Spirit Committee will present the 4th annual 'Red Rally' pep rally and bonfire on UNM’s Johnson Field. Last year’s Red Rally was rated No. 55 on Sport Illustrated’s “On Campus” magazine’s list of “Top 102 Things You Gotta Do Before You Graduate.”

Red Rally has fast become a tradition at UNM since its inception three years ago. It is staged each year to celebrate the rivalry between UNM and NMSU. This year’s bonfire will feature the burning of a 14-foot-tall New Mexico State Aggie; a football team pep rally; the UNM Spirit Squads and Marching Band; and the Craziest Lobo Competition.

For more information, contact ASUNM Student Special Events (SSE) at, 277-5602 or Ryan Lindquist at, (505) 385-5587.
