Mark Stanislawski

Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and a graduate of San Francisco State University’s nationally recognized College of the Creative Arts, Mark Stanislawski’s thirty-year career has been dedicated to public service and educational media.

* Over twelve years of experience as a CEO and Associate General Manager in the public television industry;

* Twenty-four years of station experience with six public broadcasting organizations, including two joint radio and television licensees;

* Eleven years of experience working with K-12 and higher education faculty, administrators and officials;

* Five years of national experience at PBS headquarters;

* Raised over $17M in digital television funding in two states and from federal sources;

* Coordinated capital fundraising campaign to successfully construct new facility (the TeleCenter);

* Recognized with eleven PBS Development Awards, including two Overall Development Awards;

* Managed small business (PBS Video) to successive increases in revenue and profitability.

President & CEO, Southern Oregon Public Television (September 2001 to present)
Increased operating revenues by 19% and total assets by 182%; raised over $2M to launch digital television services on two transmitters and digital translators; expanded broadcast services from one to four full-time channels; initiated a multi-year regional history series; produced/presented for national distribution The Mirror of Heaven (Crater Lake National Park) Sierra Center Stage (a 13-part music series) and coming to PBS in 2009, 400 Years of the Telescope.

Associate General Manager, KNME (May 1996 - September 2001)
Led strategic planning process for KNME; coordinated planning, marketing and legislative relations for the digital conversion of New Mexico’s three PTV stations, raising $15M in state and federal funding; developed effective relationships and partnerships with educators, business community and government; co-founded The Rural Broadband Coalition for translator funding; increased development income by 11%.

* Managed television and radio development activities increasing revenues by 20% in two years to $3.5M; recognized with two PBS Development Awards, including Overall Development.
