Jeanelle Adamak

Jeanelle Adamak is the Executive Vice President of Support Services at the WFYI TelePlex. In that role, she oversees the areas of fund raising, sponsorships, human resources, finance, administration and communications.

Since joining WFYI in 1990, Adamak has been involved in fundraising for the station. She was instrumental in starting the station’s first major donors’ society, the Sound Vision Society, in 1990 and helped lead the station through its first capital campaign in 1995. Three of WFYI’s signature events – Let’s Meet on Sesame Street, Speaking of Women’s Health, and the WFYI WineFestival were all created under Adamak’s leadership.

Additionally, Adamak has seen the WFYI budget grow from $2.3 million in 1990 to a current budget of $10 million while leading WFYI’s development effort. Over the past seventeen years, she has raised more than $125 million for WFYI public broadcasting. She has most recently led WFYI’s efforts in a $20.3 million capital campaign for new facilities and equipment.

Adamak attended college in Texas and Indiana, majoring in telecommunications and management. She received her BSM from Indiana Wesleyan University. Adamak has been active in the central Indiana community through service on several non-profit committees and boards, including United Way of Central Indiana, YWCA, Prevent Blindness, Riverview Memorial Hospital Foundation, National Friends of Public Broadcasting, Explorers and Reins for Gains.

Adamak is a graduate of the Executive Women’s Leadership Program and chaired the Volunteer Action Committee at United Way for three years. She received the Bradford Boyd Community Service Award from United Way in 2004. Additionally, she was awarded the Development Award from NETA in 1990, served on the PBS web redesign committee, and has received several awards from PBS for her work in development.

Prior to coming to WFYI, Adamak was Development Director for KOCV, public broadcasting in Midland/Odessa, Texas.
