Kathryne Cyman, a part-time instructor in the College of Education's Art Education Program, was recently selected as one of 12 Local Treasures: Artists honored for their contributions to the diverse arts of Albuquerque. Cyman was chosen for her work with the students in the Arita porcelain course in UNM’s College of Education. Cyman has studied this art form for 20 years and is the liaison between Manji Inoue - National Living Treasure of Arita, Japan and the students in this class.
