The Accounting Department at the Anderson School of Management will present an evening with prominent accounting scholar Stephen A. Zeff on Wednesday, March 4. Zeff's lecture will take place in Anderson's Jackson Student Center from 5:30 - 7 p.m. and is free of charge and open to the public.
Zeff, the Herbert S. Autrey Professor of Accounting at Rice University, will discuss "International Financial Reporting Standards: The Confrontation in Prospect Between the US and the EU."
In the world of financial accounting, few academics have worn as many mantles, or won as many awards, as Zeff. He is the author or editor of 25 books and more than 100 articles. He has served as past president of the American Accounting Association (AAA), and editor of the Accounting Review. In 1988, he received the AAA's Outstanding Accounting Educator Award and was the 70th member inducted into the Accounting Hall of Fame at Ohio State University.
