MISSION STATEMENT
The Maxwell Museum of Anthropology Store is an integral educational division of the museum. It exists to further the museum's mission to increase knowledge and understanding of the human cultural experience in all of its varied dimensions. The Maxwell Museum's permanent collection includes several million objects that comprise a valuable record of human cultural creativity around the world from the earliest times to the present. By offering a wide selection of gifts relating directly to these collections and exhibitions, the store encourages awareness of the richness and diversity of cultural creativity. By working with the artisans who craft its inventory, the store supports and encourages the well being of traditional cultural traditions. The Museum Store aims for the highest standards of educational content and craftsmanship in all of its offerings thereby serving as a resource both for those already familiar with the human cultural adventure and for those to whom it is a new and exciting adventure in learning.
