Conference Highlights

With a focus on undergraduate research scholars, the conference is designed to:

  • Broaden leadership and research capacity
    • present research (oral and poster) in a public and academic forum
    • receive relevant faculty, graduate student, and peer feedback on research presented
    • dialogue with UNM graduate students, faculty, and university leadership on research trends
    • participate in networking sessions and workshops that focus on building research and leadership skills

    • scholar research promoted to the UNM community
    • scholar research highlighted by faculty panelists and graduate student led discussions
    • research presenters recognized at the awards ceremony on Friday, October 8th
  • Prepare scholars for graduate studies
    • receive essential information on funding and selecting a graduate school
    • tour the UNM campus and meet with UNM graduate school and Office of Graduate Studies representatives
  • Connect scholars to UNM's Graduate and Professional School Fair
    • meet with recruiters from more than 25 graduate school programs from across the country
    • obtain in-depth information on funding opportunities and critical application deadlines
    • receive assistance with the application process and helpful tips
    • obtain contact information for future reference
