Nanotechnology

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at UNM has an active team of
faculty (Al-Haik, Leseman and Luhrs) and students pursuing fundamental
and applied researches in nanotechnology. The efforts encompass design,
synthesis, characterization and integration of nanoparticles, nanotubes,
nanofibers as well as complex nanostructures and microsystems, targeted
for a wide variety of biomedical, environmental, energy and
defense-related applications.
