All Mechanical Engineering undergraduate students are required to
complete the capstone design course (ME460) before graduation. Students
work in teams to design complete engineering systems. Considerations
include technical solution, function, manufacturability, cost, safety
and standards, and materials. Over the years the program has resulted in
a myriad of ingenious “products” of direct industrial relevance.
