(6)The box had a rusty latch.(7) As soon as my brother could free the box from the dirt. (8)He picked it up, and noticed it was very heavy.(9) Being positive the box contained some treasure, my brother tried to pry the latch open.(10) Soon realizing that the latch was too heavy and rusty to open.(11) He got a crowbar and began jiggling the lock.(12) The lock opened. (13)After some effort from my brother.(14) Inside was a large book, various papers pictures, and a leather bag.(15) Excited and nervous, my brother slowly loosened the ties around the bag.(16) Inside were gold coins. (17) Twenty or thirty gold coins. (18) He used part of the money to fix up the house.(19) Making it more beautiful than anyone could imagine.(20) He knew that whoever had left the coins beneath the floor would have been proud.
