Pop up note for Item 1 - Developing How-To update Preferred Tree settings for Client32 for AIS

Get extra logon screen prompt for UNM tree requesting. mhanson.cirt.univ

cancel it and it goes away and logon to CIRTPROD finishes correctly.

Can our profile include the UNM tree instead of CIRTPROD server? Need to emulate on CIRTDEVT2 and see if problem goes away.

Second issue is several folks use other servers on UNM tree and could they logon simultaneously through UNM/CIRTPROD logon if using tree?

We have adjusted logon profiles to include the logons to those servers...rather than use win95.

Investigate Office 4.3 use in CSOS and CIRT CENTRAL before removing from Cirtdev

Investigate availability of Office 98.

Clarify Microsoft licensing issues regarding Office 98.

Rename old Office 4.3 on CIRTDEV when no longer in use.

Pop up note for Item 4 - Upgrade Elixir (AFP Development Tool) to release 3.2

A new release of Elixir is here and it is desired to have it installed on CIRTDEV BUT because it affects production applications, I think, we need to coordinate with team members supporting those apps.

We need to project plan this one out.

Can 386's be configured to use PPP?

Pop up note for Item 14 - Update How-to for Client 32 install.

The copy of the zipped file on CIRTPROD located in t:\common\client32 has the NDIS flag for upgrade to ODI turned on.

In error I installed Client 32 with the flag still on. No one in CIRT knew how to edit the registry to turn it off - I had to reload Windows 95 and start over.

I'm hoping it's possible that we can get a copy with the flag turned off. I mentioned this to Jim. I don't remember what his answer was - it was in the hallway -( I don't do well with hallway answers!)

Mickey, I was hoping you would be able to find a new zipped copy.

This is an installation issue in my mind. I am going to update the How-To to make it VERY clear that we need to turn this flag off during the installation.

Pop up note for Item 15 - Addressing AIS Desktop Printing problems

Folks have their print drivers mapped to ACS-Q on CIRTPROD bypassing the LPT2 printer - I have found this doesn't work consistently that LPT2 must be mapped with for Netscape and DOS apps.

Also having problems are:
Jan Diewald's PC, Dianne Byrd's PC, David Moomey's PC, Dolores Kirian's PC,
Richard Holness' PC, Carolyn Brislen's PC, Theresa Sanzone-Wood's PC,
Rick Campbell's PC, Terri Rees' PC, Servando Pardo's PC,
Vicki Bellmyer's PC, Julie Hultzen's PC,

All different. See Mary or staff person for problem.

Also, several people have problems with print drivers disappearing - need to reboot in order for win95 to reload the drivers. What causes this? Could it be related to not all of us having the service pack installed?
