Course description:  This is designed for students interested in a health-science discipline (e.g. dental hygiene, nursing, pharmacy, physical therapist).  Students must sign up for the lab.  This course will cover primarily bacteria associated with human diseases.  There will be some discussion on viruses and other microorganisms.  The course will cover identification of microbes, treatment and prevention of diseases.
