For this assignment I obtained the data as outlined in the instructions and selected the Pecos River Headwater Streams and Reservoirs. I choose the raindrop to represent the headwater streams because all headwaters start off with the slightest amount of water accumulation. I choose the fish symbol for the reservoirs because many reservoirs are also used for recreational fishing and other activities. I thought it was important to include the surrounding streams outside of the study area to represent just how complex the entire watershed is and to exemplify the stream interconnections.
