Eligibility

Mortar Board is an active honor society of college seniors that recognizes in its membership the qualities of superior scholastic ability, outstanding and continual leadership, and dedicated service to the community.

  • Cumulative GPA of 3.00 or above
  • Completed at least 90 hours by the end of the summer semester of the application year
  • Not be graduating before December of the coming academic year
  • A history of involvement and leadership in other organizations
  • Submit application and $60.00 membership fee
Membership Commitment:
The commitments of being a member of Mortar Board include helping with flower sales at UNM graduation ceremonies (Both fall and spring Commencement Ceremonies), Hanging of the Greens (an annual luminaria display on campus in early December), and regularly attending meetings.

Membership Benefits:
New friendships, leadership development, the honor of membership, plus it's fun.

How to Join:
If you are interested in joining Mortar Board, we will be accepting applications during the spring of 2008.
