The Internet is an excellent resource for disorder-specific information, family resources, curricular materials, and more.  The faculty, staff and students of the APS/UNM Partnership Program in MR & Severe Disabilities have compiled a list of websites that have proven to be useful, accurate, and applicable.
    °Expanded Grade Band Expectations (EGBEs)
   

Topicals:
In an effort to provide effective and relevant support, the APS/UNM Partnership Program Resource Teachers present short topical information sessions throughout the academic year.  The topics and content of these sessions is designed to address and support the needs and challenges Intern teachers encounter in their classrooms. 

Lesson Plans:
Interns are required to developed detailed lesson plans for each lesson presented in the classroom.  A sampling of exceptional Intern-created lessons; as well as, exemplar lessons created by APS/UNM Partnership Program faculty & staff are presented for use and as examples of the quality instruction that is occurring in Intern-led classrooms.

New Mexico Department of Public Education:
The New Mexico Department of Public Education website provides a variety of instructional resources and information.  Included on the NM PED website are all of the content area standards and the Expanded-Grade Band Standards.

The EGBEs establish pedagogical and assessment expectations for students with significant cognitive
          disabilities and form the foundation for the State of New Mexico Public Education Department's alternate
          assessment. The EGBEs are to be used to develop goals and objectives for student with significant
          cognitive disabilities.
