Admissions Information:

The application deadline for admission into the Special Education graduate program for summer/fall enrollment is March 31; the priority deadline for the APS/UNM Partnership Program is March 31. Late applications will be reviewed if slots are still available but students will need to enroll as non-degree students until their application for graduate school is accepted.

Please follow the directions listed below as you prepare your application.

Each applicant must apply on-line to the UNM Office of Graduate Studies

• at www.unm.edu/grad.  Please follow the directions listed on the website to complete the graduate portion of the application.
  

• In addition, you must mail or hand-carry the following items directly to the Special Education Program in Hokona Hall, room 273:

  1)the Special Education Program Application for MA/Licensure Degree Form  

  2)your letter of intent , stating your reasons for applying to the program, a description of relevant experiences, and your education and career goals,

  3)three (3) letters of recommendation (in sealed envelopes addressed to Special Education Program) 

  **If you have already taken the NTE or the New Mexico Teacher Assessment exam, please provide a copy of the results to the Special Education Program.
