Welcome to my website, where you will find a little something about my research and teaching interests.  As for my personal interests, the pictures above tell you all you need to know.  Albuquerque is where I live, The University of New Mexico is where I work, the tennis court is where I play and Avila Beach, CA is usually what I am daydreaming about while working and playing.

I arrived in Albuquerque, New Mexico in the summer of 2005 to begin work as an Assistant Professor of political science at the University of New Mexico.  I had just wrapped up seven years at the University of California, Davis where I completed my Ph.D. in American politics and lectured for one year.  My specialty is American political institutions, which means my teaching and research focuses on subjects such as the U.S. Congress and the presidency.

You are welcome to poke around.  If you find something that interests you, feel free to contact me at msrocca@unm.edu.  See you on the tennis court...
