The Mountaineering Club has a large amount of outdoor climbing
and activity gear for use by members.
Shoes, harnesses and helmets may be checked out by any member, and once a member is skill-level certified by the
training officer, equipment for top-rope climbing, sport/lead climbing, and trad/ice/aid climbing may also be checked
out.
A nominal rental/deposit fee applies to gear checked out for use on non-club excursions. To check out gear, contact
Reuben at rubythegreat@yahoo.com. Please remember that officers have lives too, and try to give him
ample notice before the date needed.
Other sources of gear rental are the UNM Rec Services: Outdoor shop, and the local REI retail store. More information
