About NAPCOE

Native American Program, School of Engineering was established in 1975 to increase the number of American Indian students earning degrees in engineering at the University of New Mexico.

Mission

Our mission is to provide academic support to American Indian students entering the science, engineering, and mathematics fields of study. NAPCOE actively engages in recruitment activities to provide information to American Indian students interested in science, engineering, and mathematics majors at the University of New Mexico. NAPCOE provides a supportive community environment, provides academic support services, coordinates informational workshops, and offers a number of academic scholarships to assist with successful matriculation from the University of New Mexico.
