From the AMAZONS to the
LAND OF THE AZTECS...
Considered one of Venezuela's top leading-male actors, Miguel de León didn't hesitate to leave it
all when his then wife, Venezuelan actress Gabriela Spanic, was
offered a starring role in Mexico... a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity in
the "Hollywood" of Latin America. So he left Venezuela, his family,
his friends and "star" status behind, to accompany her to Mexico: a
land so immense, the entire population of Venezuela could fit into its
capital city, Mexico City. It was also a place full of uncertainties
where no one knew anything about him or his work. Would he be
able to excel in the land of the Aztecs as he had in his own country?
This site is dedicated to Miguel de
León, an excellent theater-trained actor who with patience,
perseverance, talent and charisma made it to the forefront in Mexico's
intensely competitive television industry... mirroring what he had
achieved once before in his own native homeland.
