Controlling Logins and Passwords
- The administrator creates a login name for each user which permits them to login to the server.
- The user will be required to use a password each time they login.
- Login is the first step to use the network resources, without the login name, your access to the network will be denied, second step is your password.
Controlling Trustee Security and Rights
- NetWare has features called trustee security which grants various levels of control to access a directory.
- As trustee, the user can have access to files in a particular directory.
- Rights such as read, write, create, erase, etc.
