Token Ring Pros and Cons
Light load: TR is not very efficient. Stations must wait for the token to arrive
Heavy load: TR operates in a round robin fashion
Priority and reservation schemes can be implemented
Bandwidth can be guaranteed
High overhead for token maintenance
Loss of token prevents further use or TR
Duplication of token disrupts operation
A monitor station is need to manage the TR network
