Network Topologies (Cont.)

• The number and locations of the buildings.
• The location of wiring centers, tunnels, utility conduits etc. through which the transmission media can be pulled.
• The need for reliability and therefore redundancy.

• It is highly desirable to include transmission media patching capability of wiring centers to provide the flexibility to change topologies when device and network electronics technologies change.
