• Security management. Authenticates users and grants them access privileges they are authorized to have.
• Remote server management. Provides the ability to manage distributed services over the network (eg. Initiate automated backups, specific applications and operating systems reboots on distributed servers from central location).
• Utilities to allow all of the above to work together seamlessly and to be tailored to a given environment.
