Implementation Issues - Cable Plant
The following is a useful list of items to consider when implementing the inter and intrabuilding cable plant for a network :
- For large jobs, subcontract with cable installers.
- If cables or fibers are directly buried, use armored cable to reduce rodent or insect damage.
- If conduits are used, instal plenty of excess “cross-section” area (with appropriate pull strings) for future expansion.
