• UNM will try to leverage this by implementing a local Gigapop that will be a major exchange point between :

  • The vBNS and Internet2.
  • The commodity Internet.
  • The Energy Science Network (ESNet)
  • The Defence Research and engineering Network (DREN).

since Albuquerque is a place where all these networks meet or will meet.
