DESCRIPTION:
Client reports that 3rd floor of Scholes is seeing different speeds ^ when
transmitting files off their floor. Putting files onto a ^ off-floor host
is much slower then getting files from an off-floor ^ host.

I'm currently working with the client, (Tom Field) to see if our upgrade
of the network switch supporting this building , (4/30/98 S/A) has made a

DESCRIPTION:
Reports slow response between printing plant and Hokona, where the ^
server is located

I spoke with Robert E. Sanchez, (Plant Superintendent) and his computer
staff on 6/2/98 and they noted the network response time was fine. I would
like to get with Steve Allison, (on vacation this week), before I close
this out to make sure there isn't another problem. Cliff/COMMGRP 6/9/98
Steve Allison called me back to report the response time is pretty good at
this point in time. He was going to make some further checks and let me
know where we finally stand on this problem. Cliff/COMMGRP 6/11/98 Steve
Allison called back to note his clients at Printing Services can submit
data, (printing estimates) between 7:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. and it takes
about 15 seconds to complete. He then noted this same transaction takes
about 4 to 5 minutes during the afternoon, (between 1:30p.m. and 5:30
p.m.). Steve stated he would continue to look into this issue however, he

There is an infrastructure wiring problem between the faceplate and the
patch panel. I'm currently placing a work order with Kelly Cable to

Network had her change Net interface card...she did this and still ^

I visited the client regarding this problem on 6/4/98. This problem is
currently problematic in 10 rooms of the complex. Additional information
given by their server further indicates a possible bad NIC card or wiring
problem on the local segment. I'm still in process of isolating problem.
6/5/98 Cliff/COMMGRP Attempting to schedule time for COMMGRP to verifiy
thin wire infrastucture run to clients server. This particular circuit is
showing an extreme amount of errors on the hub's diagnostics log.
