DESCRIPTION:
Slow response time between Valenica and Main Campus. Using a custom ^
application
STATUS:
I've been running ping scripts to the router at Valencia for over a week
now with very good response times. I cleared the counters on the router
and also checked the interface resets (none recorded) and found this unit
to be functioning properly. I talked to Randy (4-7-99) and he said that he
will get some information from the clients at Valencia on Monday 4-12-99
as he will be going there to setup some machines. I also let Randy know
that we will be upgrading the Valencia router hopefully within the next
couple weeks.

Tina reports that,she has been dropped offf twice from 4 hr dial up
number.

I reset some of the Multitech modems in the 4-hour bank. She says the

DESCRIPTION:
Mikko indicates that Bandalier West has dropped connection to the ^
network....Bldg # 16...call him for specific information if needed. ^ JAM
STATUS:
May be a machine w/ a bad NIC card, but the problem stopped before I could
track it down and verify it. User informed and we will continue to monitor

DESCRIPTION:
Had a couple of calls for EECE indicating sporadic network issues ^
between them and us. Seem to be getting packet loss to 129.24.24.1 ^ and
also to 129.24.24.11 [www.eece.unm.edu]. Saw loss as much as ^ 100%, 92%
and 65% and as little as none. HD-MDC
RESOLUTION:
Heavy traffic was ID'd as coming from one of the labs, local support ^
guys were notified. They found that the guilty PC is running Red Hat ^
Linux and are correcting the cause. TB

DESCRIPTION:
We have a bad RJ45 connector going into the wall plate for the computer
that our Paging software is on. It is plate number 153-103-1707/12. It is
port 8. To get it to work, I have to jiggle the connector.
