The University of New Mexico (UNM) has recently received a National Science Foundation award (number NCR-9710949) to connect toNSF's vBNS (Very high speed Backbone Network Service). This award will enable researchers to use the UNM Campus Data Communication Network to access remote supercomputers and other resources to support research applications requiring a combination of low latency, high bandwidth and other Quality of Service attributes.
