Joel Cormier

Bio: Joel Cormier from Prince Edward Island, Canada is in his first season as Head Coach of the UNM Icewolves. Coach Joel brings over 10 years experience coaching throughout Canada at the Midget AAA and Junior A levels. A winner of 5 provincial championships, most recently an Atlantic Regional Minor Midget AAA Championship with the Pownal Red Devils in 2004, Cormier also has experience coaching at the famous hockey factory, the Athol Murray College of Notre Dame in Wilcox, Saskatchewan. A holder of the Advanced I Coaching certificate from the Canadian Hockey Association, Cormier has also earned a Bachelor of Physical Education (University of New Brunswick, 1994) and a Masters Degree in Coaching Studies (Central Michigan University, 1998). Single and residing in Albuquerque, Cormier is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Sport Administration at the University of New Mexico. Timothy Ross

Bio: Prof. Ross is a registered professional engineer with over 30 years experience in the fields of computational mechanics, hazard survivability, structural dynamics, structural safety, stochastic processes, risk assessment, and fuzzy systems. He has just been awarded a prestigious J. William Fulbright Fellowship for study during his sabbatical leave at the Department of Civil Engineering, University of Calgary, Alberta, for the 2001-2002 academic year.

He has BS, MS and PhD degrees in Civil Engineering from Washington State, Rice and Stanford Universities, respectively. He has been an engineering educator at the University of New Mexico (UNM) since 1987. Prior to 1987, Prof. Ross conducted research for the US Defense Department in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and in Washington, DC.
